Hello there! I'm Zia, or Ghostie. I'm in my 30s, and have been online since the late 90s. My pal at disc-content was the first one to tell me about Neocities, but it took me a while to try my hand at it. Turns out I'm having a good time learning the stuff that stumped me as a kid. I first tried to learn coding as a wee one playing neopets, and later did some copy+paste stuff on myspace, but never really clicked with coding. Lately, though it's been fun!

This site isn't my only hobby, though. I'm also a big cinephile and typically watch around 100 movies a year. I draw (see above) and write as well, though most of my of my work is fanfiction or poetry, haha. Some of it will probably end up here, at least the poetry. Been getting more into anime lately, especially stuff from the 90s-early 2000s.

Musically, been back on the Mountain Goats, as always. But lately I've been really into Men I Trust and the Marias. I want to be slow and relaxed with music lately. Been some Santigold hits as well, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs... the kind of music that makes me want to hang out in my room on my computer, haha. Or maybe take a walk in the cold rain.

Anyway, here's a few things I've been into lately:

  • anime: I just finished s-CRY-ed and had a really good time. It feels like it disappeared into the ether, but I still love the rivalry between Kazuma and Ryuho. Sheris deserved better! Also working through All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku. Nuku Nuku is best girl, do NOT be surprised if I make a theme of her when I figure out how. Samurai 7 and Chobits have also been interesting delves. It sure has been giving me an itch to draw!
  • video games: I have been working my way through final fantasy this last year. I've played and beated 1-4, and now I'm roughly a 3rd into 5. They've been giving me a lot of ideas for a dnd campaign i'm planning for my friends. I've also been playing a lot more fields of mistria, the latest farm sim to really click with me. recent updated have made it even more playable for me, finally letting me make the day shorter, and adding even more hearts with the dating prospects. It's been my favorite way to wind down in the evening lately.
  • this website: I've really been having a hoot figuring this out. I'm working on designing my own cute theme, trying to draw assets and learn more about color and composition. I haven't done a lot of digital art (or any art lately) so it's slow going, but I'm having fun putting stuff on here anyway. Cosmetics can come later
  • manhwa: for the past year and a half I have been devouring korean webcomics. my main genre of choice is the otome isekai, many of which are now seeing anime production. that's been a bit wild to see! currently reading Just Kill Me Now, Housekeeper in a Dungeon, Virtual Strangers, Do Your Best and Regret, and A Thread that Never Burns. I think I've pretty muched burned through every incredible otome iseak, so I'm starting to branch out. I'm still into fantasy historical angst ones, though, so Do Your Best and Regret is probably my favorite currently running. My favorite romcom is Housekeeper in a Dungeon. Feels like I'm at a point of reading anything, but I'll list out the best I've come across sometime.
  • mobile games: I spent way too much time playing games on my phone haha. currently playing Dungeon Sisters, Backpack Arena, and TCG Shop Simulator.

Below I'm gonna put my quiz results. May get their own page soon!
